Eeeham is dedicated to hamradio applications on the Asus Eee PC – in particular the Eee PC 701 since this is the model I have. In the beginning the idea was to have a set of Linux ham radio applications built on a host computer then packaged and configured so that they can be run off an SD or USB disk on the eeepc. However, the Linux OS that came installed on my Eee PC 701 was one of the worst Linux experiences I have had for many years and I have decided to search for a better one.
Since December 2009, I am running Ubuntu 9.04 on my Eee PC 701. I have also tried the so-called netbook remix editions; however, these did not work well on this first generation netbook.
